Carl E. Clover Jr. is a partner in the
law firm of Clover & Walters P.C. and has practiced law with that
firm since moving to Sealy with his family in 1975.
He is a board-certified civil trial
specialist and qualified mediator. The law firm has a diverse
practice, which includes both business transactions and litigation.
Carl also is a principal in Botts Title
Co., a regional title company with locations in seven counties.He is
active in civic affairs, including past service as president of
Austin County Bar Association and Sealy Chamber of Commerce.
Carl received his bachelor's degree in
1966 and law degree in 1972 from the University of Texas at Austin,
and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1966-69, including a tour
of duty in Vietnam.
He was an assistant district attorney in
Travis County, serving as chief prosecutor of the 147th District
Court before moving to Sealy. Carl is married to Dianne
Johnson Clover, a veteran teacher at Sealy ISD. They have three
grown children whom they raised in Sealy, including Joshua, a
lawyer; Jessica, a teacher; and Courtney, a student.
